![]() ![]() I've had many a friend go "This is a crazy dark colour!" when I took them Paint Pot shopping and every time, without fail, once swatched they were really happy with the results. So I recommend swatching the Paint Pots you're considering to buy, so you know exactly what you're getting into. As you can see from the pictures, Fresco Rose is such an example. Some Paint Pots appear darker in the pot than they will be on the skin. Maybe the inside of my arm is much, much lighter than the face, where I usually apply it? The colours in the top picture are completely accurate though (and you can see Painterly is quite light). For some strange reasons, Painterly looks a lot darker in the bottom picture than it actually is. ![]() I just really, really love this soft pink colour because it makes my eyes look forest-green. Unfortunately, Fresco Rose has been discontinued and I never was able to buy a back-up, but the day I hit pan hasn't come yet, so let's not get sad ahead of time. While I love every Paint Pot there ever was and will be, these are probably my favourite, most reliable one. In comparison: I can't wear most kajals and other assorted eye pencils because the colour doesn't stick right and will transfer within 10 minutes. As such, I am able to use Blackground (the black) as an eyeliner and don't have to worry. Once dry, they do not transfer, which is a huge plus, especially for gals like me who have somewhat hooded lids and who always have eyeshadow transfer issues if they're not careful. I've never had one go bad on me or crease or be up to any other shenanigans. And they WILL last as long as you need them too. The Paint Pots do not crease, no matter how long you wear them. I usually reach for Painterly as my eyeshadow base, because it blends so perfectly into my skin (it is just a smidgen lighter than my skin, but still works great). They are cream eyeshadows that dry to a lightweight, even finish and can be worn solo or as an eyeshadow base for whatever your heart desires to put on top of them. They come in a variety of 9 permanent shades (used to be more, they discontinued a few in recent years), mostly neutrals and one black. They are, hands down, one of my favourite makeup products ever. ![]() Today, I'd like to talk about MAC Paint Pots. ![]()
